Who We Are
The Hughson Education Foundation (HEF) is a non-profit organization that enriches and enhances the academic experience for students in the Hughson Unified School District. Founded in 2014 through the efforts of parents, community members, business leaders and school personnel, the HEF seeks to maintain and supplement academic programs in times of unpredictable and insufficient education funding.
The HEF is governed and administered by a voluntary Board of Directors comprised of parents, business leaders, teachers and administrators. The Board meets monthly during the school year and typically has 5-7 voting members. The district Superintendent, School Board Members, school faculty and staff also participate in HEF meetings and operations.
What We Do
The HEF provides financial support and resources to classrooms, students and enrichment programs within the Hughson Unified School District. These supplemental programs and learning experiences are essential in preparing our students for a technologically complex, culturally diverse society. We fund such programs through fundraising and donations, and we encourage all community members to join us in providing innovative learning experiences for the youth in our community.
